Air Canada Moves to Terminal 3 in Dubai International Airport

Emirates and Air Canada have been getting closer and closer to each other. Over the past 12 months with air transport restrictions being lifted the two airlines have signed some significant agreements. The most important of which is the frequent flyer programme agreement. An agreement that allows to build up and use Aeroplan and Skywards miles when flying on either of these airlines. However a new significant step forward in the Emirates-Air Canada partnership has taken place. Let’s find out all about it and what will change for passengers.

Air Canada Moves to Terminal 3 in Dubai International Airport

Starting July 26th 2023 Air Canada will be flying in and out of Dubai International Airport (DXB) using Terminal 3. This is the same terminal Emirates uses for all its flights along with a very small group of other airlines.

Terminal 3 is without a doubt the nicest of the 3 terminals in Dubai International Airport. It has the best facilities and is the most modern of the three.

It’ll be a significant upgrade in travel experience for the Canadian flag carrier’s passengers who will definitely have a much nicer time when transiting or departing from Dubai International Airport.

Access to The Emirates Lounges for AC Passengers

Another huge advantage Air Canada frequent flyers will have is the access to the massive world renown premium class lounge. Specifically Signature Class customers and eligible Aeroplan Elite members (Aeroplan 50K and above) will be granted access to the Emirates Business class lounges present in DXB’s terminal 3.

Which Other Airlines Use Terminal 3 In Dubai International Airport?

Very few airlines have access to the services and facilities Dubai Terminal 3 has to offer. As a matter of fact including Emirates only 5 airlines use Terminal 3. Them being:

  • Emirates
  • Air Canada
  • United Airlines
  • Qantas
  • FlyDubai (on select services)

Therefore you can understand how this is major news for the Canadian flag carrier and its passengers.

  • On October 30th 2023 Air Canada will launch its second service to Dubai from Vancouver flight AC79.
