Emirates Doubles Its Flights to Brisbane Australia

Australia has always been a strategic market for Emirates. The geographic position in which Dubai is placed makes it an ideal stopping point for travellers making their way from Australia to Europe and viceversa. The pandemic completely brought to a standstill this entire business segment. However with Australia opening borders over the past 12 months Emirates has started powering up its flights down under. In this article we’ll be talking about the latest news about Emirates flights to Brisbane Australia.

Emirates Doubles Flights to Brisbane

Although the state capital of Queensland, Brisbane, already has a daily Airbus A380 connection to Dubai, its all set to see a further capacity boost in the coming months.

Emirates will add a second daily flight that will bring the overall weekly seat availability to almost 12,000. This new flight, number EK430 (return flight EK431), will start operations on June 1st 2023 and will operate according to this time table:

  • EK430 will depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 02:30 arriving into Brisbane (BNE) at 22:20.
  • EK431 will depart Brisbane (BNE) at 02:50 arriving into Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 11:00

This flight will complement the EK schedule to Brisbane at the moment served with an A380 flight, EK434. EK434 starting June 1st will operate with the following time table:

  • EK434 will depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 10:35 arriving into Brisbane (BNE) at 06:25 the next morning.
  • EK435 will depart Brisbane (BNE) at 21:00 arriving into Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 05:10

Emirates Boeing 777-300ER for EK430 to Brisbane

However No Second A380

Although the Dubai based airline will be adding a second flight to Brisbane, Australia, it won’t be a second A380 flight. At least initially the second flight will be operated using one of the many Boeing 777-300ER present in Emirates’ fleet.

As flight EK434 also EK430 will offer 3 classes of travel to passengers. I remains to be seen if we will be seeing the new so called “Game Changer” configuration on the route. The “Game Changer” configuration is mounted on newly delivered 777s and will be retrofitted on the existing fleet starting 2024.

To sum it up these EK Boeing 777-300ER for the Dubai Brisbane route will have:

  • 8 or 6 First Class Seats/Suites
  • 42 Business Class Seats
  • 310 Economy Class Seats
