Hey guys was hungry today around lunch time so I decided to post a recipe to change things around a bit. I’m not the best chef so take it easy on me! 🙂 What we cooked today is a plate of “Aglio e Olio” pasta which is a dish that every Italian knows how to cook, which is generally prepared when you either don’t have time or don’t really feel like cooking.
So the recipe is really easy, and you need very few ingredients:
- A clove of garlic
- Olive Oil
- A packet of long cut pasta
First Thing to do anytime you cook pasta is to put enough water in a pot (for long pasta it’s better if the pot is taller) and put it on the burner to make it boil. Once the water warms up and is about to boil add salt to it.
In the meantime to get the garnishment ready, get a pan ready poor some oil in it ( the quantity depends on how many people you intend to serve) shop the garlic clove into pieces, they don’t need to be particularly small, and put in the pan with the oil. Also add to the oil and garlic chopped fresh parsley. Once it’s all ready turn the burner on and let it simmer, but make sure the garlic doesn’t burn.
More you let it all simmer more the taste of garlic will get stronger so it’s up to you how much you want to let it cook. 🙂
Going back to the water, once the water starts boiling put the pasta in, and for long cut pasta gently push it below the water’s surface so that it cooks evenly. Set a timer with the cooking time of the pasta and every now and then stir the pasta to make sure it doesn’t stick!
Once it’s ready drain all the water out of the pot and add the garnishment to the drained pasta and mix it all up and… you’re done! Congrats, your pasta is ready to be served and eaten!
