I had left the last blog post and vlog video incomplete, to be continued, and here it is. It was last Saturday, and it was my brother’s birthday and to celebrate he decided to cook us all something really special… Home made Italian Pasta, which left me with the job of providing quality wine to accompany this exquisite dish.
He got started kind of early as it takes quite a bit of time to prepare from scratch, so Bin (my Korean wife) and I went out to the nicest alcohol store in town, but unfortunately we found it still closed but we were lucky to find the bar extremely cute bar next door open. Just one cup of coffee (and a Cappuccino for Bin) later the store had opened and we bought a nice bottle of Montepulciano D’Abruzzo wine (it was exquisite!).
As soon as I got home I got started on taping my brother’s work of art, (Just making it sound as if my work was hard too ahah). The topping was made from mushrooms and truffle, very traditional in this part of Italy. We live in Abruzzo, Central Italy which provides many high quality truffles and delicious mushrooms, especially in autumn.
I hope the video gives you an idea of how much work goes into all the process which took more than a couple of hours, but in the video takes up just about two and a half minutes.
Ok that’s enough blabbering, but wait don’t forget to subscribe and watch the video before going away! 😉
Thank you for watching.
